Company with experience in the rebuilding and
repair and assembly of heads and blocks for diesel-gas heavy-duty
engines of low, medium and high
speedsindustrials, marines and automotives, as well as
housings and other industrial castings.
The technology oxy-fuel weld and electric arc
we use for rebuilding and repair
of any gray iron castings, either flake or spheroidal graphite irons,
as heads,
blocks, housings, and other industrial pieces allows us to offer a
complete quality
service. Additionally, our infrastructure has facilities like controlled
temperature furnaces, machining and grindings, by using vertical and
horizontal lathes, vertical, radial, flat with pneumatic head drills,
Horizontal
boring bar machine, flat surface grinder. To assure the quality of
our process
upon the case, we use non-destructive tests: hydraulic, magnaflux,
magnaglow,
dye penetrant, X-Ray and ultrasound, as well as parts supply per your
choice.

Spheroidal Graphite Iron
Fusion
The repair of cracked and damaged cast iron components,
either flake or spheroidal graphite irons, is a highly effective process,
but one which must only be
carried out by carefully trained technicians operating under
closely defined conditions.
We carry out the oxy- fuel fusion welding process
for the rebuilding of cast iron components, either flake or spheroidal
graphite, approved by the industry and class societies, per previous
request, upon the case.
Repairs are carried out by gas fusion welding
during which the casting is pre-
heated and mainteained at a controlled temperature whilst the welding
process is being carried out.
The area of the casting which is to be welded
is melted into a fluid pool into
which a cast iron welding rod of the same grade as the parent metal
is fed.
By carefully controlling the operating conditions
the resultant weld is
homogeneous and stress free. The careful selection of materials produces
a
weld which has improved strength and metallurgical properties compared
with
the original parent casting.
Gas fusion welding of cast iron produces a homogeneous
and stress free weld
with excellent metallurgical and machining properties compared with
the parent
metal subject to the correct materials being used and as long as the
defined
pre-heating, welding and stress relieving parameters are adhered to.
The following examples of welded sections with
a magnification of 105 times
illustrate the integrity of the welded interfaces of flake and spheroidal
graphite irons.
